Halima Abubakar was born on June 12, 1985, in Kano, Nigeria. She is a multiple award-winning Nollywood actress, model, television personality, entrepreneur, and philanthropist.

Halima began her acting career in 2001 with a minor role in the movie "Rejected" and gained prominence with her lead role in "Gangster Paradise."

She is also the CEO of Modehouse Entertainment, a music label and entertainment management company.

Halima has won several awards for her acting, including the Best Actress award at the 2011 Afro Hollywood Awards for her role in "Sabotage."
