Francis Duru is a veteran Nigerian actor born on 27 July 1969 in Cameroon to Nigerian parents who hails from Imo State, located in the southeast region of Nigeria. He completed his primary and secondary education in Cameroon. Later, he moved to Nigeria to pursue his tertiary education, where he applied to study Theatre Arts at the University of Port Harcourt, Rivers State in 1996.
