Chukwuka Chukwuma Ekweani, better known by his stage name Ckay, is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, and record producer. Born on July 16, 1995, in Kaduna, Nigeria, he is of Igbo descent from Anambra State. His love for music was inspired by his father, a choir conductor at their local church, and he began learning the piano from him. Ckay's music career took off after he moved to Lagos in 2014 and got discovered, leading to his signing with Chocolate City in 2016.
