Dr. Asue Ighodalo is a distinguished Nigerian lawyer, businessman, and politician. Born in Okaigben, Ewohimi, Esan South East LGA, Edo State, Nigeria, he received his early education at King's College, Lagos. He later obtained a B.Sc. degree in Economics from the University of Ibadan, followed by an LL.B. from the London School of Economics and Political Science in 1984, and a B.L. from the Nigerian Law School, Lagos, in 1985.
In his professional career, Dr. Ighodalo co-founded the renowned law firm Banwo & Ighodalo, which specializes in Corporate Finance, Capital Markets, Energy & Natural Resources, Mergers & Acquisitions, Banking & Securitization, and Project Finance.
