Super Eagles and Nottingham Forest defender, Ola Aina, has reacted to the contract extension of Liverpool and Egyptian winger, Mohammed Salah, Soccernet.ng reports.
Salah joined Liverpool in 2017 and has gone on to score 243 goals and provide 111 assists in 394 games for the Merseysiders.
While it appeared his contract situation wouldn’t be resolved at Anfield, the 32-year-old has penned a two-year extension with Liverpool. Alexander-Arnold might be reportedly on his way to Real Madrid, but Salah’s renewal is a sigh of relief for the Anfield-faithful.
Aina, who’s currently injured, reacted to the Egyptian’s renewal, jokingly hinting that all the defenders in the Premier League are in trouble.
“Has he signed? Mohammed has signed again. The league is finished. He’s signed on? Everyone’s in trouble,” the Nottingham Forest defender remarked with a hilarious tone.
Aina has faced Salah as a Fulham, Forest and Super Eagles player. In six games against the Egyptian winger, the Nigerian has emerged on the winning side thrice, drawing twice. Salah has also scored three times in six outings against Aina, across club and country, as per Transfermarkt.

Aina’s reaction is a testament to the attacking prowess Salah has accrued over the years as a player in the English top-flight. In 294 Premier League games, the Liverpool winger has scored 184 goals and provided 86 assists. He’s currently joint 5th on the league’s all-time scorers alongside Sergio Aguero.
Only Alan Shearer (260), Harry Kane (213), Wayne Rooney (208) and Andy Cole(187) have scored more in the English Premier League than the former Fiorentina man.
