Arsenal legend Pual Merson believes the only club Newcastle United forward, Alexander Isak can join is Arsenal.

The in-form striker has been linked with top EPL sides, Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United.

The Swedish International has been impressive this season and was instrumental as Eddie Howe defeated Arsenal to quality for the Carabao Cup final.

Isak has been linked with a move away from Newcastle in the summer after reaming at St. James’ Park following the conclusion of the January transfer window.

However, Merson believes Isak can only join the Gunners in the summer.

“He’s not going to Man City, he’s not going to Man Utd, I don’t know if they’ve got any money to buy anybody anyway,” Merson told Sky Sports.

“You’re not going to Tottenham or Villa. He can only go to Arsenal really unless it’s Real Madrid and they’ve got Mbappe anyway.

“For me it’s only Arsenal where he can go and then it’s up to him. Does he want to go to Arsenal where I might win something or stay at Newcastle and might win something. It will be an interesting one but it depends on the fair play rules.”
