Nigerian striker Sadiq Umar has dedicated his goal against Sevilla to the entire team at Real Sociedad.
The 26-year-old scored the second goal in the 22nd minute to help his side to a 2-1 victory at the Reale Arena on Sunday, November 26.
It was Sadiq's first goal for the club since September 2022 after he suffered a cruciate ligament injury and was sidelined for the rest of the season.
“I thank all the people at Real, the physios, the doctors, coaches, teammates, all the people with whom I have worked day after day,” Sadiq told Marca.
“This goal is for them. It’s a very important goal for me, I needed it after a year.”
Sadiq joined Sociedad last season following an impressive campaign with UD Almeria.
