FC Barcelona have been crowned champions of La Liga for the 2022/2023 season after a handsome win in the Catalan derby on Sunday night.
The Blaugranas beat their city rivals Espanyol 4-2 away at the RCDE Stadium to clinch their first league title under club legend Xavi Hernandez.
Robert Lewandowski scored a brace plus goals from Joules Kounde and Alejandro Balde won the club its first league title since the departure of Lionel Messi in 2021.
Espanyol later reduce the deficit through Javier Puado and Joselu but it wasn't enough as they remain bottom of the table.
With three four matches left to play, the Catalan giants have now garnered 85 points, more than nearest rivals Real Madrid.
Espanyol on the other hand are staring in the face of a possible relegation as they are four points from safety with four matches left.
