Deputy Governor of Edo state and Chairman Main Organising Committee of the National Sports Festival Philip Shuaib has stated that the Sports Festival will not be shutting down again after a strong and renewed commitment of the Federal Government to the yeaning and agitation of the host state.

Shuaib speaking in a chat gathered by brila.net said admittedly while there were plans to have the games shut down, this will no longer be the case while thanking the late intervention of the Federal Government and urged everyone involved in the game to continue to enjoy the Festival.
