Former Super Eagles defender, Sam Sodje has voiced his approval for the move that saw William Troost Ekong switch from Italian Serie A side, Udinese to championship side, Watford. Sodje described the move as good one for the Eagles defender.
In an exclusive chat with brila.net Sodje stated that the competitive difference between the Championship and the Italian Serie A is not really much.
”I don’t think Ekong move from Udinese to Watford is a bad move, people keep thinking about the championship in England as a lower league but it is a very high standard league,” Sodje said.
”I think as a player,fitness-wise and how fit and ready he will be for the national team will amaze a lot of people, I don’t think the move is a bad one at all, I think the championship has a very good standard.”
