World Cup Qualifiers: South Africa names squad for Super Eagles clash

South Africa coach Hugo Broos has announced an initial 36-man squad for their upcoming FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Nigeria and Zimbabwe.

Bafana Bafana will clash with the Super Eagles on Friday, June 7, at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo.

Following this, Hugo Broos' team will host Zimbabwe at the Free State Stadium in Bloemfontein on Tuesday, June 11, in their next fixture.

Broos is expected to narrow down his squad to 23 players ahead of these crucial encounters.

Currently, Bafana Bafana sits in second place in Group C with three points after two games. Nigeria has managed two points with the same number of games.

Rwanda leads the group with 4 points.
