Former Super Eagles coach Samson Siasia has criticized the unfair treatment meted out to local coaches of the national team.
According to the former striker, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) favours the foreign coaches ahead of the local managers.
He criticized the NFF for offering long-term contracts and huge salaries to white coaches, a privilege they deny their local counterparts.
The former Super Eagles captain made this assertion during a podcast show with former Super Eagles international Emmanuel Babayaro and journalist Matthew Edafe over the weekend.
“They didn’t give me Super Eagles from the beginning and give me four years, Siasia noted.
“They didn’t give Nigeria people four years, you lose one match, they fire you. That’s the truth. The white people will come, you give them more time, you pay them more money.”
“They will pay the white man $50,000 monthly and pay local hires N1m. From the N1m, the coaching staff will also take inside, and you also have to feed your family.”
They will employ a white man, give him $50,000 a month, but when they employ us, they will give us N1m a month - Ex Super Eagles coach, Samson Siasia pic.twitter.com/5tCsvcXR7J

Siasia was named head coach of the Super Eagles in November 2010 succeeding Swedish coach Lars Lagerbäck.
He was fired 11 months later after failing to qualify Nigeria for the 2012 African Cup of Nations in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea.
