The Super Eagles are set for their first international game in a year following the coronavirus pandemic. The three-time African champions will take on Le Fennecs on October 9 before taking on the Carthage Eagles four days later.
Details on Nigeria’s friendly games against African rival, Algeria and Tunisia have been revealed. The Super Eagles will face the defending African Champion at The Jacques Lehmans Arena in Austria with kick-off time set for 7:30 pm, Soccernet.ng.
Gernot Rohr’s men then take on Tunisia at the same venue four days later with kick-off time also set for 7:30 pm Nigerian time.
The Super Eagles have not played since they beat Lesotho 4-2 in an Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers last November.
According to Soccernet.ng, the clash against Algeria will be the first match between the two sides since their 2019 AFCON semi-final clash, which the North Africans won.
Both friendly games in October will serve as preparation for the AFCON qualifying doubleheader against Sierra Leone in November.
