Nottingham Forest defender Ola Aina has named his top five African players who have graced the prestigious English Premier League.

The Super Eagles fullback provided an intriguing ranking when asked to blind rank the top African legends who have featured in the EPL.

The 27-year-old ranked Ivorian legend Didier Drogba as the best African player in the Premier League, placing him ahead of Yaya Toure in second.

Aina placed legendary Super Eagles midfielder Jay-Jay Okocha, who featured for Bolton Wanderers from 2002 to 2006, in third place.

Nwankwo Kanu was ranked fourth, while Mohamed Salah surprisingly came fifth in Aina's rankings.

While all these players attained legendary status with the clubs they featured for, Mohamed Salah is the Africa's leading scorer in the Premier League, surpassing Didier Drogba.

Yaya Toure led Manchester City to their first Premier League title in 2012 after a late winner from Sergio Aguero.

Kanu was instrumental in Arsenal's Invincible team that won the Gunners' last Premier League title two decades ago.

Jay-Jay Okocha also made a name for himself during his four-year spell with Bolton Wanderers.

Aina recently earned a one-year contract extension with Nottingham Forest after an impressive campaign with the Tricky Trees.
