Super Eagles goalkeeper Maduka Okoye continued in goal for Sparta Rotterdam in the Eredivisie at the weekend away PSV Eindhoven. Okoye was impressive for Rotterdam, but it wasn’t enough to save his team from defeat, their first in three outings after back to back wins.
The 21 year-old was in action for the duration and was the busier of the two goalkeepers.
He came under severe pressure from the well oiled PSV attack line, forcing the Nigerian into five saves, including a penalty in the 78th minute.
However he would be breached from a rebound after pulling a good save from the spot kick.
Okoye was rated Sparta’s best player of the match and has turned out in his fourth consecutive league game, keeping two clean sheets.
