Akwa United striker, Effiong Ndifreke has joined Libyan giants Al Ahli Benghazi.
The striker penned down a three and half years deal with the club for an undisclosed fee.
His arrival was confirmed by the Ahli Benghazi in a statement released via social media on Thursday morning.
“There is a Chinese rocket orbiting in space; here is a Nigerian missile that will be heard everywhere.”
“Together, we welcome our second deal in the Mercato, Nigeria’s striker, Ndifreke Effiong. He will strengthen our team for 3 and a half year, starting from the second leg of the season ” the club said in a statement.
The former Abia Warriors striker is Ahli Benghazi second major signing of the window Maliian midfielder Sadio Kanouté (24) who joined from Stade Malien on a three-and-half year contract, Brila.net reports.
For Akwa United FC this season, Ndifreke made 19 appearances scored 8 goals and notched 5 assists.
