Boniface trolls Terem Moffi for ending season trophyless, gifts him cup; video emerges

Bayer Leverkusen star, Victor Boniface brought fun to the Nigerian camp after reporting for the World Cup qualifiers against South Africa and Benin.

The Super Eagles forward is making a return to the team after missing the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast due to an injury.

Boniface recovered and finished the season in style as the BayArena outfit won the league and Cup double in a campaign that saw them lose only one game, which was the final of the Europa League.

While Boniface boosted of two trophies in his first season in Germany, compatriot Terem Moffi managed to help OGC Nice end the campaign with a European place qualification as they placed 5th in Ligue 1. Moffi could not win a trophy with the French outfit.

In a video that has since gone viral on social media, Boniface and league winner with Club Brugge in Belgium, Raphael Onyedika poked fun at Moffi, presenting him with a little cup for ending the season trophyless.

In the video, Boniface is heard saying the cup is a gift for Moffi to help him understand the feeling of winning a trophy.

Nigeria will face South Africa on Friday, June 7, in their third game of the qualifiers before facing Benin three days later on matchday 4, per the BBC.
