Super Eagles defender, Ola Aina has highlighted the challenges he faced following his move to Serie A club side Torino FC.

In a recent interview on NBC Sports’ By Way of Africa series, he said the language and way of life in Italy differed from what he was used to in England.

Currently lacing his boots for Nottingham Forest, he played for Torino from 2018 to 2023. He made his Serie A debut in 2018 as a substitute for Lorenzo De Silvestri. Aina scored his first goal for Torino in 2019 against Udinese.

"Probably leaving England to play in Italy. I think that’s been the most pivotal for me because I was out of my comfort zone. I had to learn a different language and another way of life," Aina said.

Nottingham Forest have been one of the best and most consistent teams in the Premier League this season.
