Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State has announced the swearing-in of five new Permanent Secretaries as part of efforts to strengthen and reinvigorate the state's civil service establishment.
Okowa disclosed this in a series of tweets on his official Twitter handle.
He said that "the new Permanent Secretaries are esteemed individuals with a broad range of knowledge, experience and exposure that qualify them for their respective offices.
The governor congratulated each of them on their elevation and asked them to lead by example.
He also urged them to "make eliminating inefficiency one of their fundamental priorities".
