The convener of Yoruba One Voice, YOV, and Aare Onakakanfo of Yorubaland, Iba Gani Adams, has urged President Bola Tinubu’s administration to address the hardship and hunger in the country.
He also appealed to the governors of the South West region to ensure that Yorubaland is well taken care of and that their policies are beneficial to the people.
Gani Adams made these statements during YOV’s quarterly conference via Zoom on Sunday, September 29, 2024. According to the Aare Onakakanfo, agriculture in the region should be taken seriously.
Speaking on the theme, ‘Rescuing Yoruba Nation from hunger, your task, my task’, Gani Adams mentioned that governors need to devise a better approach to make agriculture more attractive to the people.
He believes this will help resolve the hunger in the land, adding that hunger knows no tribe or region.
“This is evident in the way we plant our farm produce. Within a few days, you see your seed grow with pride. All over the world, agriculture is a global business, whether micro or macro agriculture.
“The success depends largely on the need to expand the scope and advance the technological and mechanical advantage in agricultural production,” he said.
