Reports indicate that a fire has engulfed several wooden structures at the Tejuosho market, in the Yaba area of Lagos State on Wednesday, May 29, 2024.

The over 300 wooden stores destroyed are said to be worth millions of naira.

So far, no lives have been reported lost or injuries sustained.

It was gathered that the fire broke out at the market located along Tejuosho Canal, comprising shops and residences, at about 12:30 pm.

The fire also affected the nearby Saint Heritage Children School on Adedapo Street, off Aralile Street in Surulere, according to PUNCH.
