Minister of Works, David Umahi has called on the Southeast region to fully support President Bola Tinubu, claiming that the President has executed more projects for the region than past administrations.

Umahi made this statement during an inspection of the rehabilitation and reconstruction of Umuahia-Aba Section II of the 56.10km Enugu-Port Harcourt Expressway.

According to him, the road is expected to be completed and inaugurated by June 2025.

He emphasized that President Tinubu had ensured adequate funding for these projects, as captured in the 2024 and 2025 budgets.

“The remaining 2km of earthwork and 4km of asphalt work will be completed by June, and the road will be inaugurated,” he stated.

Umahi further urged the people of the Southeast to reward the President’s commitment with 100% support in the 2027 elections.

“The entire Southeast must give Mr. President 100% of their votes in the 2027 elections to appreciate him.”

“I am the one fit to ask for your votes because he has used me to work for you.”

“What happened before will not happen again. God was speaking, but many of our Christian brothers did not listen,” Umahi added.
