A Nigerian woman living in the United Kingdom has made an appeal to other Nigerian women in the country who have a habit of reporting their husbands to the police over issues that could be resolved peacefully.

She made the appeal in a viral video after hearing reports that the Metropolitan police were becoming overwhelmed with handling such marital cases.

The woman questioned why these Nigerian wives were misusing the privilege they have in the UK. She asked if they used to call the police whenever they had problems with their husbands back in Nigeria.

She said in excerpts of the video: "Nigerian women in London and the UK, stop reporting your husbands. The UK metropolitan police has sent a message to you Nigerians to stop reporting your husbands. For these people to go to the level, you should know that they have had enough. They are tired. Different file cases, and different reports on a daily basis. What is it?" she screamed.

"You think because you have the power and the right as a woman. You live in the Western world, any little understanding with your husband and you are calling the police. Issues that you can settle amicably among yourself, you are already calling th police. These people said they have had enough".
