The Prime Minister of the Biafra Republic Government in Exile, Simon Ekpa, has dismissed claims by the Nigerian Police Force that 27 alleged criminals and IPOB supporters were killed in Enugu.
Reports indicate that about 27 kidnappers were gunned down in a shootout with security operatives at various locations across the state. The clampdown happened over the last two weeks, as announced by the government.
Responding to the statement, Simon Ekpa countered their claim, saying that those killed were not his supporters but innocent Biafrans.
He slammed the Enugu State government, saying that they are engaging in propaganda in a bid to defend their offensive attack on citizens.
“This is false and lies. Not only that, it has exposed Nigeria as a failed state and as a country that has failed to uphold human dignity.
“Simon Ekpa has no boys in Enugu. You have killed innocent Biafrans to prove a point to Abuja," he said.
He noted that in Abia State, the Nigeria Police opened fire and began shooting at each other, thinking they were attacking Biafra fighters.
