The Coalition of United Political Parties (CUPP) has advised Nigerians to reject the All Progressives Congress and President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 general election.

The group made this statement in response to the recent massacre of 40 farmers in Borno State by suspected Boko Haram terrorists.

CUPP described the incident as tragic, stressing that the killing reveals the failure of the Tinubu-led government to protect its citizens.

Reports indicated that armed groups attacked and killed about 40 farmers in Nigeria’s northeastern Borno State.

The terrorists gathered the farmers in Dumba on the shores of Lake Chad and shot them dead on Sunday.

Reacting to the tragic event, CUPP issued a statement expressing concern over the increasing insecurity in Borno, Nasarawa and other states, with many lives lost to kidnappings.

"CUPP urged Nigerians to reject the APC in the 2027 elections, warning of dire consequences if the current administration remains in power beyond that year.

"CUPP expressed condolences to the families of the victims and called for decisive action to restore peace and stability in the country," the statement added.
