Former Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola has been suspended by the Osun State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for alleged anti-party activities.

Aregbesola has been accused of causing division within the party and creating splinter factors that undermine the strength of the party.

This was contained in a resolution submitted to the APC National Secretariat and addressed to National Chairman Dr. Umar Ganduje.

With the elections in the state on the horizon, the state party chapter said the move had undermined its cohesion and unity.

The party said that Aregbesola’s actions have fueled internal divisions.

Aregbesola’s camp is yet to respond to the development.
