Former National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Uche Secondus has applauded Rivers State Governor for his refusal to bow to intimidation.

His comment comes off the just-ended local government election in Rivers State. He said Fubara, whose political god-father is FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike has shown true leadership in the face of the adversity.

This was disclosed in a statement released by his media adviser, Ike Abonyi, on Wednesday, October 9. According to him, Fubara for upholding democratic principles.

He said: “Governor Fubara has demonstrated true leadership by standing firm for democracy.

“His refusal to bow to intimidation is a testament to his commitment to his people and their future.”

The former PDP chairman also used the opportunity to urge President Bola Tinubu to work closely with Governor Fubara to protect the critical national assets located in Rivers State.

He stressed the importance of collaboration between the federal government and Rivers State, given its strategic economic significance.
