Chairman of Lokoja local government council Dan'asabe Mohammed has passed.

Mohammed was confirmed dead at a local hospital in Lokoja, the State capital in the early hours of Friday, November 10, the Dailytrust reports.

According to reports, the APC chieftain was rushed to the hospital after he slumps at home.

He was reportedly instrumental in the activities geared towards Saturday's governorship polls.

A source close to his family shared disclosed that Mohammed passed around 4:30 am.

Doctors confirmed him clinically dead around 4.30 am on Friday."

The deceased left behind his wife, mother and children.
