Supporters of the Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar has taken to social media to shower praises on him following the massive turn out in Uyo, capital of Akwa Ibom state.
According to several videos making rounds, a large crowd gathered in the Uyo stadium to campaign for Atiku ahead of the 2023 election.
Last daughter of Atiku Abubakar, Laila Abubakar took to Twitter to wish her father well ahead of his campaign.
She wrote; "May the almighty safe guide u in ur struggle for a better tomrr. Dad".
As the PDP campaign kicks off in Uyo, the party has experienced some defection from strong party members across the country.
These states recorded to have been hit by the defection include, Sokoto, Kano and Lagos state.
However, it was recorded that the about 5,000 members of the All Progressives Congress has defected to the PDP.
Despite the challenges the PDP is facing, staunch supporters have taken to social media to applaud the presidential candidate of the party.
