Atiku Abubakar, Nigeria's former vice president, has sent a memo to the leadership of the Peoples of Democratic Party (PDP) ahead of the next presidential election in the country.

According to him, the PDP is now better positioned to unseat the ruling party from Aso rock in the next general election.

The memo reportedly appears to be an early indication of Abubakar's renewed interest in the 2023 presidential ticket of the former ruling party.

Abubakar in the memo thanked members of the party for the overwhelming support given to him during the 2019 election.
