A member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Joe Igbokwe, has advised presidential aspirants from the Labour Party and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to desist from pursuing their ambitions.

His comment comes in response to speculations that Peter Obi, the 2023 presidential candidate of the LP, and Atiku Abubakar from the PDP are joining forces to challenge President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 election.

In a post on his Facebook page, Igbokwe warned that Tinubu is likely to stay as Nigeria’s president until 2031. He believes that Tinubu will need two terms to enable him to accomplish his goals and make necessary changes.

He wrote:

“If any presidential aspirant is dreaming of winning presidential elections in 2027, I will advise that candidate to perish the thought till 2031.

“PBAT is destined to remain in the seat of power till 2031. He needs eight years to set the records straight.”
