As residents of Ondo go to the polls to elect a new leader for the next four years, we keep a close eye on happenings on the ground during the voting process, collation, and announcement of results.

According to data from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), 17 political parties and candidates are contesting in the elections. Popular among these candidates are Lucky Aiyedatiwa of the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) and Agboola Ajayi of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Polls opened at 8:00 am, and voting is currently underway across several polling units.
