An old video of FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike calling his then-principal and former Governor of Rivers State, Rotimi Amaechi has emerged on social media.
In the video that has resurfaced, Wike was heard maligning Rotimi and accusing him of misleading folks in the state.
The video comes as the feud between him (Wike) and his successor, Siminalayi Fubara intensifies in the state.
He said: "Because of his lies and impunity, he denied his party a ticket. He sees himself as God. I am God, I will do this and no one can stop me but you forget you are not God."
"How many people has he not misled? It's always problems, problems, and problems. We have given you all you want yet what you do is to castigate the state. Love your state, you dont need to hate your state. This state made you speaker for 8 years, this state gave you governor for 8 years, and under this state, he became a minister, is that the thank you, you give to the state for making you who you are, for being up to this level?"
"Instead of you to see how you can have peace in your state and letting the state see developments, each day you wake up to cast aspersion on your state. That is not good."
Wike and Fubara have been at each other's throats immediately after the 2023 governorship election in the state with the root cause of the feud yet to be determined.
Political analysts have laid the blame on Wike who they believe if attempting to take hold of the political structure in the state despite serving as a minister in the President Bola Tinubu administration.
