The former Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Barrister Solomon Dalung, reportedly joined the End Bad Governance protest against hunger and economic hardship in Jos.
Dalung was seen protesting with thousands of Nigerians who marched through the Secretariat Junction Flyover in Jos and then to the Old Airport Roundabout, opposite NASCO.
According to Dalung, Nigerians are suffering and the situation has become unbearable.
Speaking to the large crowd, Dalung stated that the amended Nigerian Constitution allows them the right to stage peaceful protests. He urged the security agencies not to intimidate the protesters
Dalung served as Sports Minister under former President Muhammadu Buhari from 2015 to 2019.
He appealed to President Bola Tinubu’s government to address some of the crises affecting the citizens.
Taking to his X handle, Dalung wrote, "On my way to the nationwide protest against hunger, poverty, insecurity, injustice, and impunity in Nigeria."
The 10-day nationwide End Bad Governance in Nigeria protest over hunger and economic hardship commenced on Thursday, August 1.
