Ned Nwoko, born Prince Chinedu Munir Nwoko on December 21, 1960, is a prominent Nigerian lawyer, politician, and philanthropist12. He hails from the Nwoko Royal Family in Idumuje Ugboko, Aniocha North Local Government Area of Delta State, Nigeria.

Nwoko received his primary and secondary education in Nigeria before moving to the United Kingdom, where he earned a degree in Law and History from the University of Keele and an LLM in Maritime and Commercial Law from King’s College London. He was called to the English bar at Lincoln’s Inn.

Nwoko began his legal career in the UK, where he established one of the largest black law firms, Ned Nwoko & Co Solicitors. He returned to Nigeria in 1998 and entered politics, serving as a member of the House of Representatives from 1999 to 2003, representing the Aniocha/Oshimili Federal Constituency.

In June 2023, he was elected as the Senator representing Delta North Senatorial District1. Nwoko is also known for his efforts in securing the London and Paris Club Loans refund for Nigeria, which significantly impacted the country’s financial landscape.

Beyond his legal and political career, Nwoko is a dedicated philanthropist and businessman. He has been involved in various initiatives, including a symbolic expedition to Antarctica to flag off a Malaria Eradication project.
