Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, born on October 27, 1967, in Gulak, Madagali Local Government Area of Adamawa State, Nigeria, is a notable Nigerian politician. He began his political career as a member of the Adamawa State House of Assembly, representing the Madagali Constituency from 2007.
Fintiri's leadership skills were soon recognized, and he served as the Speaker of the House of Assembly. His tenure as Speaker was marked by his role in the impeachment of then-Governor Murtala Nyako in July 2014, after which Fintiri briefly served as the acting governor of Adamawa State.
