Skales, whose real name is Raoul John Njeng-Njeng, is a Nigerian rapper, singer, and songwriter. Born on April 1, 1991, in Kaduna State, Nigeria, he is known for his versatility in music, blending genres like hip hop and R&B1.

The name “Skales” is an acronym for "Seek Knowledge Acquire Large Entrepreneurial Skills".

He started his music career in 2000 and gained prominence after signing with Empire Mates Entertainment (E.M.E) in 20091. Some of his popular songs include “Shake Body,” “Mukulu,” and "Keresimesi". Skales has collaborated with various artists, including Akon, Tekno, and Davido.

In 2014, he left E.M.E and established his own record label, OHK Music1. His debut studio album, “Man of the Year,” was released in 2015
