The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) is a Nigerian federal agency under the Federal Ministry of Health. Established in 199 NAFDAC, is responsible for regulating and controlling the manufacture, importation, exportation, advertisement, distribution, sale, and use of food, drugs, cosmetics, medical devices, chemicals, and packaged water in Nigeria.

NAFDAC's primary functions include conducting tests to ensure compliance with standard specifications, inspecting production premises, and certifying the quality of regulated products.

The agency also undertakes the registration of these products, issues guidelines, and monitors advertisements to ensure they meet regulatory standards.

The agency is currently led by Professor Moji Adeyeye, who has been instrumental in strengthening the regulatory framework and governance structure of NAFDAC. Under her leadership, NAFDAC has made significant strides in improving the quality and safety of food and drugs in Nigeria.
