John Owan Enoh, born on June 4, 1966, is a Nigerian politician, teacher, farmer, and philanthropist currently serving as the Minister of Sports Development in Nigeria, a role he took on August 21, 2023.

He was born in the Agbokim Waterfall community of Cross River State, Enoh has a rich academic background, earning a bachelor's degree in Sociology from the University of Calabar in 1988, where he was the best-graduating student in his class. He further pursued an M.Sc in Demography, a Postgraduate Diploma in Management (PGDM), and an MBA.

Enoh's political journey began in 2003 when he was elected to the House of Representatives, where he served until 2015. During this time, he made significant contributions to legislative processes and development projects. He later represented the Cross River Central Senatorial District in the Senate from 2015 to 2019, where he continued to advocate for his constituency and the nation at large.

Beyond politics, Enoh is deeply involved in agriculture, owning and managing several farms across Cross River State. His work in farming not only underscores his commitment to economic development but also highlights his diverse interests and dedication to improving the livelihoods of those in his community.
