• NPHCDA has disclosed that almost 2 million Nigerians have been vaccinated
• The data said eight states have reached 100 percent of their target population
• Lagos, FCT, Kano and Kaduna have so far vaccinated the highest number of people
The latest figure from the National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA) has revealed that a total of 1,880,788 eligible Nigerians have been vaccinated with the first dose of AstraZeneca COVID-19 Vaccine in the first phase of vaccination.
The data also said that eight states have reached 100 percent of their target population.
The states are Cross River, 111 percent; Kwara, 107 percent; Lagos, 106; Ekiti, 104 percent; FCT, 103 percent; Gombe, 101 percent; Rivers, 101 percent; and Zamfara, 100 percent, The Nations reports.
Lagos, FCT, Kano and Kaduna have so far vaccinated the highest number of people- 295,013; 127,424; 92,784; and 91,448 respectively.
This brings the proportion of Nigerians vaccinated with their first dose in this first phase to 93.5 percent.
