The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control has issued guidelines for handling face masks.
Taking to the microblogging platform to educate the general public, it tasked them to wash their hands before putting surgical masks on.
It also asked them to put the face maks on their face adequately- covering their nose and mouths, as they make sure that there are no gaps in-between.
It warned them to avoid touching the mask whilst it's on and replace it after it is damp, never to re-use again.
For cloth masks, it told them to wash it thoroughly with soap or detergent after each use.
It also instructed them to allow it to dry properly in the sun before reusing.
