The First Lady of Nigeria, Aisha Muhammadu Buhari has demanded that parents stay at home and ignore work.
Aisha commended the state governors for closing down schools but argued that the move could backfire if parents were forced to appear at work.
Taking to Twitter, she sounded a note of warning that parents should not be exposed to an outbreak that students were isolated from.
"It is commendable that state governors have closed down schools; however, this could be counterproductive if parents are still going to work. We should not isolate students and expose their parents. Let us remember that they will meet at home. #TotalLockDown #StayAtHome," she tweeted.
