The Lagos State Government has launched an Incident Command System to curtail the outbreak of the fast-spreading Novel Coronavirus in the State.
Commissioner of Health for the state, Prof. Akin Abayomi explained that an emergency health care structure was needed to contain the virus while research develops a solution to arrest it.
Reassuring Lagosians, he stressed that no suspected or confirmed cases of Novel Coronavirus have been identified in Lagos. He urged residents to guide against rumour-mongering.
Giving further details about the containment system, Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu said the measure was not to stigmatise citizens of the country but to protect the interest of the people.
