The Director-General of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, Chikwe Ihekweazu has noted that shutting down cities is a herculean task.
He made this statement as a guest on Channels TV while on the morning show, Sunrise Daily.
Explaining the motive behind the statement, he revealed that Nigerians could not be stopped from making a living. However, he noted that the NCDC would continue to help in the battle against coronavirus in Nigeria.
"Shutting down cities is not easy. It is not an option for many Nigerians. As we take measures against the spread of the coronavirus in Nigeria, we need to ensure that ordinary Nigerians can still make a living," he said.
