The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control has warned citizens to disregard the use of rapid test kits.
This is coming as the health agency continues to improve testing nationwide.
In a Twitter post, the NCDC said rapid test kits could give false results.
"Remember, rapid test kits can give false results. We continue to scale up testing. Every state has been provided with supplies for sample collection," it tweeted.
