The National centre for Disease Control has curbed a fourth attempt of the deadly coronavirus from circulating in Nigeria.
This was disclosed via its Twitter page where it contained a likely contact of the virus who just returned to Lagos from the United Kingdom before it got out of hand.
According to the body, the likely COVID-19 contact had a runny nose but could not reach authorities for testing. NCDC were able to get this scoop from the contact's friend
The NCDC got a sample from the affected within 12 hours and admitted her into Yaba.
While the situation is being managed, the disease control body hailed its good efforts in preventing another outbreak of the virus.
Patting itself on the back, it said: "We’re committed to doing our best."
Following lab confirmation last night, she was admitted to IDH, Yaba
