It was a gory sight today when fishermen in the Ibi local government area of Taraba state woke up to tons of dead fishes floating on the stretch of River Ibi.

MyNigeria gathered that there was a pattern among dead fishes recovered from the river. Most of them had red blisters all over their skin.

The incident was confirmed by the Chairman of Ibi local government area, Bala Bako who said he had involved relevant Government agencies on the matter.

Several fishermen alongside the Chairman of Fish sellers association in Ibi, Danlami Sale, pleaded on the Government to find a solution to the unfortunate turn of events
