The COVID-19 case reported in Enugu state, Nigeria has tested negative to the deadly disease of the coronavirus.
This was confirmed in a tweet by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control.
The body stressed the importance of waiting for confirmation from the NCDC before spreading information on social media.

It can be recalled that a Twitter user, @omalichajp raised alarm over an alleged Coronavirus outbreak in Enugu, carried by a 70-year-old woman who just returned to Nigeria.
According to Omalicha who raised the distress call, the COVID-19 contact was a woman who just returned to Nigeria from the United Kingdom on March 11th, 2020, after spending 5 months overseas.
