Nigerian rapper and singer Odumodublvck has reacted to a viral video of former Super Eagles player Obafemi Martins, who named Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo as the greatest footballer of all time over Argentina’s Lionel Messi.
The discussion gained traction after a video of Martins expressing his preference for Ronaldo went viral on X.
In an interview on the popular football magazine show Football Fan Tribe, the former Newcastle forward responded to a question about the greatest footballer of all time, stating, "I think I will choose Ronaldo."
He elaborated on his stance, saying, "I’m just speaking from my experience. Playing for multiple teams across different countries is very difficult. Ronaldo has played in all these leagues, and he’s a machine—still playing and still scoring goals."
Martins acknowledged Messi’s talent but pointed out a key difference, saying, "Messi is something else, and I would rate him highly. However, playing for one club for such a long time is different. People want to see Messi play in different leagues, like Italy and England."
He continued, "People admire Messi because he is calm and not arrogant, but as a player, you need to have some arrogance when you’re that good."
Odumodublvck, seemingly unimpressed by the video, shared his reaction in pidgin in a post on X.
"Who get Obafemi number? I need to talk to him. This is so embarrassing," he wrote.
The rapper, a known supporter of English Premier League side Arsenal, expressed disappointment over Martins’ stance, fueling further debate among football fans online.
