Rapper Phyno has denied selling off a N10 billion estate he allegedly owns in Lagos because he realised it was a mistake building such property in Yoruba land.
The rumour was started by an X user, @justsocietyforall, who claimed that the rapper sold the estate to an Arab man from Libya.
According to the X user, the way Igbo people were allegedly treated during the 2023 election must have influenced Phyno's decision to sell the property.
He wrote, "Musician Phyno has allegedly sold off his 10 billion Naira estate in Lagos to an Arab man from Libya. According to Phyno, it was a mistake building such an estate in Yoruba land, where he feels his people are not welcome."
The X user also shared a quote allegedly from Phyno that reads: "The last election opened my eyes. The hatred towards Igbos is something that seems like it will last forever. Instead of building in Yoruba land, I'm relocating my estate to Enugu, where my people will make good use of it and it will remain safe for generations."
In response, Phyno slammed him as a liar with ambition.
He wrote, "You are a fool for cooking up this type of lie !!! Where are you heading with this? Anwu nta."
